I tried different amounts of persistent space. It was a 16 GB USB drive,
so there was always a lot of free space on it.

Attached is the debdiff for Maverick. Since Maverick was released with
Thunderbird 3.1, I targeted this to -proposed. I've also uploaded this

Attila, I think that user will have other issues with moving between
10.10 and 9.04. Let's focus on this case here, the regression from
Thunderbird 3.0.10 to 3.1.7. I've opened tasks for Lucid and Maverick
to get this fixed.
