This is sort of deliberate - configuration files generally belong in
/etc and it's easier to apply appropriate rules (e.g. for package vs.
local edits) there. /boot/grub/grub.cfg is an exception because the
boot loader has to read it out of a filesystem it can read, and it can't
always read from /
The 'search' line (which is generated by GRUB) is correct, but the
root=UUID= part (which is generated by linux-boot-prober, from the os-
prober package) is wrong.
Could you please attach /boot/grub/grub.cfg from both the installation
on /dev/sda1 and the installation on /dev/sda3, of course clear

window manager in KDE system settings to Metacity, I can drag ruler in

I haven't been able to pinpoint an exact change that fixed this, but
Page Up and Page Down seem to behave reasonably for me in the version of
GRUB in Ubuntu 10.10 (they actually jump up and down by 10 entries, but
I think this is OK). Can you verify this?

At first I had heard from t-com users that they had network problems with ICQ
and SSL in July, now this problems spreaded out to other users.

I am using 9.10 (Karmic) and have the same problem with vpnc 0.5.3-1 and
so have other colleagues of mine. In my case the connection dies after
60m. Here are the syslog entries for the connection:

Running ubuntu 10.10 with the 1.9.0 git banshee. Library was full
removed, then reread everything 3 times.
I only found dupes from various files that totally normal to me. I checked the
files and folders but the dupes did not exist on the disk, others players like
exaile, guayadeque, rythmbox, g
The screenshot indicates a problem with mountall, not a problem with
GRUB, so reassigning. It may have been fixed since the original report
...
