The problem was with video flash in firefox. I have left it in full screen for
a few minutes and screensaver was launched. After pressing a key a could see
the stopped frame from flash video, but sound was going well. I was not
I agree that simply removing the old kernels from the list is the ideal
solution. However, if that is not implemented, continuing to have a long
list of multiple kernels on the grub menu is very confusing to casual
users.
Is it possible to implement something like Alexander Lancey mentioned
above?
The problem is back and it's worst than ever. Now switching back and
forth between HDMI and internal sound does not correct the sound. I get
about 15 minutes into a movie and sound cuts completely, testing
speakers fails, flash sound doesn't work, VLC/XBMC has no sound.

Well I do not think it is properly fixed.
At least because the new kernel 2.6.37-6.15 does not work at all.
I cannot boot, it does not get loaded, it ends up in the busybox after a too
long waiting period.
My system is a fully updated Natty 64-bit, Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P, AMD Phenom
II X4 955 B
Scott, it has been some time since we heard from you on this bug report.
Can you provide any more feedback, especially the schema of mysql.db and

Top screen corners don't register mouse clicks; prevents closing maximised
