I will try to find the steps to reproduce the error. For the moment it
looks like it happens randomly. I have not been able to find any pattern
that produces the issue i am having.
Is it possible to get any guidance of where to look? Log files etc? Is
it possible to set Evolution in a failsafe mod
h3, it seems that you have a different issue. If you read the bug
description it says that "kills reader device" just means that it stops
being powered and it is not repowered until next reboot. Apparently,
what you experience is a permanent break, so it is something unrelated
to this bug report.

Server (amd64) using the 2.6.35-22-server kernel using e1000-8.0.23.
This solution worked for me:

standard Norwegian and Norwegian Dvorak layouts when installing, and
chose at first to use Dvorak as default. I later decided to use

Disabling SSL fixes the problem for me. However, on my notebook this is not an
