My box is now at 10.10 (Maverick) and the issue is still there (Lexmark
T644).
The issue affects printing from many apps. Can't print directly from
OpenOffice, can't print from evince, can't print from gimp. The only way
I've found to get printouts from this box is printing first to a file
(.pdf)

I have the same problem. After the updates from 11-16 I can not longer login
to GDM on boot. I have used 10.10 since release without issue. I also have
the ATI Radeon driver.
No logs. If I stop GDM and start GDM in tty1 I sometimes can log in. X is ok.

given that there is not much movement yet on the upstream bug, i re-
uploaded 4.7.0-0ubuntu4.1 that disables NEON statically. so people
without NEON finally can use QT apps. once the upstream fix is found and
implemented i'm happy to revert the change again for dynamic runtime
NEON detection.

I have just installed Ubuntu 10.10 with G450 Matrox, and came upon this
issue.
- I tried running patch from #100, but this didn't work at all.
- I then applied patch manually. This then built a mga_drv.so file that allowed
me to boot into the GUI.
I then tried countless versions of the xorg.conf

I was trying to set my tilde-expansion to OFF all of last night and was
up to 4 AM trying to figure out why my inputrc-file wasn't recognizing
'set expand-tilde Off'. GRRR, stupid bash_completion doing whateve
latest patch, this almost works around the download/upload speed menu
items not having the submenus but still those submenus emit signals on
the wrong radio menu item.

I should have also mentioned - the "Ghost" instance (i-307905AD) was a
real instance that had been terminated, possibly before it had left the
"pending" state.

Problem still occurs with clocksource boot options, it just doesn't seem
to get triggered by my testcase.
With clocksource option it takes about 5-6 hours before it first occurs
with testcase running, however after the first occurence my testcase
seem to trigger it very fast again (under 5 minutes
I am getting the same error. However I don't believe this is about
special characters. I did this: created a new note 1, created a link to
another new note 2 within this, and then again to a new note with a
title full of special characters !...@#$%^<>,. Then tried to export note 1,
without a proble
since natty has the latestversion 034, i think this can be closed...

well... i'm living now without this applet indicator, and added the pulseaudio
indicator, everything is ok, except i had no replacement of the envelope icon
(in fact i didn't liked it, i found no use for it)
i saw a few other bugs solved by removing this applet, like some notifications
being sho

Network-manager should ask the user before saving the password in the
gnome keyring. Right now, there is no way to NOT remember a wifi
password when I connect to a wifi network with network-manager. This
cause problems on shared computer

All those affected by this bug, can you comment with what your refresh
interval is set to? And if it is under 10 minutes please bump it up to
10 minutes and see if it happens again.
I suspect when there are network related issues, which prevent a full
refresh from completing before the next sched
