I don't know if it helps but, recently it does not boot after keyboard
ctrl+alt+del restart. But after hard restart from restart button on the
computer case fixes the problem until next cold boot. Also there is no
problem with restart functionality of the ubuntu when it is used from

It's definitely something with powermanagement when using battery.
When I enable my build-in webcam the system freezes within 10 seconds.
Even when I attach my tiny Ipod Shuffle the system freezes.

Would you mind doing the same sniffing for that special driver I linked
to? That driver really does enable multi-finger detection on touchpads
that have never supported it before, even in Windows!
