Then I sun :$ sudo /lib/udev/keymap -i input/event3 and hit the wifi hotkey and

Sounds exectly like my issue.
To be honest I have more or less given up on this server since the install of
Lucid failed. It's just sitting there.
Still it would be nice to have this fixed, not just for this ancient hardware

Finally got time to follow up on this. Did not burn and boot a full
Gparted CD (sorry), but pulled Gparted 0.7 from the Natty repositories.
That installed fine and it does see the DMraid correctly. I could shrink

Still haven't done a complete reinstall, but had a new kernel last week.
Problem persists, system can't find some of its file systems. Every once in a
while it happens to be the root fs and of course it then fails to boot and I
get a busybox. Rebooting usually 'solves' it.

Waow, that's weird on 945GME, I have the same here and it's working for
some months. Well, let's wait for the compiz rewrite, it should fix your
issue.

finger scrolling work on my netbook :-) I have Asus Eee PC 1201 NL.
By the way, this bug is also present in System Settings in KDE (tested
in version 4.5.1 on Kubuntu 10.10). When you go to it and choose Input
devices -> Touchpad
