I had the same problem of Kantastisk, trying to grab the calendar
results in just an empty "title=", which matches all windows and
therefore places all windows in same position. Manually entering

I mean that it failed to mount my raid arrays. Using sudo dmraid -ay only
causes it to set there on the terminal with a blinking cursor doing nothing. I
can type in it like it's waiting for something, but it's to no avail.
As for ls /dev/mapper, it only shows the file control.

Update to messages: When I try to run ubuntu without the nodmraid
option and quiet enabled, I receive a message "device-mapper: table
252:5: raid45: Invalid RAID device offset parameter". Something tells
me that the problem isn't so much in dmraid itself as much as the RAID45
module.

I can confirm that changing future date (whose timestamp is greater than 32 bit
signed integer) to smaller value solves the problem.

No, using gksu is a deprecated method for a long time, instead programs
are now run as a normal user, and get admin rights using PolicyKit. In
Maverick, this is for example how updates-manager works.
You're not supposed to run 'gksu users-admin', and I really don't see
how you'd think of doing so.

Have also found gnome-shell to be unusable on Nvidia fx5200 on Maverick
on a P4 3GHz machine. It compiled successfully, but is unusably slow
when it loads up, every action happens on screen 40-50 seconds after it
