As long as there is no acceptable replacement for OSS functionalwise it

I made the following:
- Installation using a usb stick. That is, I made a installation from scratch.
- My machine have a Intel gma500, so a needed install the drivers for
it using the commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gma500/ppa && sudo apt
Two complete days on 10.10 with no loss of wifi, so it's looking very
promising.

Once I upgraded to 10.10 I had this issue and also a slow boot issue.
I think both issues are unrelated. Because the boot issue has apparently
stopped being a problem after I made sure to run fsck correctly on my
huge partitions. For some reason the slow down happened right after fsck

I am using Lucid and 802.11n is working great with iwlagn (same speed as
in Windows, more than 3 times faster than 802.11g). Is Lucid using an
older driver or the same? I tried Maverick from a USB pen and removed
the workaround and 802.11n worked as in Lucid. I didn't check if the

georgehu: It's actually currently a per-theme setting in the theme
definition files, and there are some themes that are set to provide
thicker grab bars than others. In my personal opinion it should be a
theme-independent setting that is configurable by end-users via a GUI
control.

I have a USB brother HL-1440 that is connected directly via USB. Ubuntu
does not give me the option to detect or add a USB printer as in the
past. I can not connect the printer because I have no clue what the URI

i don't think it's related to that cdrom, it looks like i couldn't find
the musicbrainz site and it crashed.
