I've also applied the upgrade hoping this issue had been fixed in the
maintstream packages and AssumeDefaultDomian still doesn't work! Running
32-bit on amd64 and intel.
I'm surprised at this, as I had been running the ppa7 version which
fixed the problem but resulted in painfully slow login times

I copied the entire httrack base directory over to a windows server 2003
machine, installed httrack on that machine, ran httrack and continued the
download of the site. It is running without issue thus far.
Therefore, this buffer overflow bug appears to be specific to the Linux version.

Unfortunately, this affects the RC of Maverick/Ubuntu 10.10 as well.
I've been able to go for an hour or so, at the most, before sound goes
completely haywire and my logs are filled with "ratelimit.c" and
"suppressed" messages from pulseaudio. Pulseaudio worked flawlessly on
10.04.

I believe the fix discussed above (256.53, released: 2010.08.31) only provides
a solution for only some of the users. Although it added support for
xorg-server video driver ABI version 8 / xorg-server-1.9, the driver does not
support legacy cards such as the Geforce 5 FX series.

Ok thanks. New profile up and running - I'll let you know. The problem
has occurred 2 - 3 more times on old profile since bug report but I
