Thank you for your bug report, the old behaviour was inconsitent with
pretty much every other desktop software, when you close something it
exit and doesn't go to the notification area or something. The current
behaviour is the one designed in the specification and will not change
for maverick, the
right, OneConf is starting async apart from the first critical part when
the main pluging load. So, when it's import DbusConnect, it's starting,
it's starting beam.smp as well, which can takes time.
So, this import should just be delayed in a thread so that beam.smp
intialize in non blocking mode.

I installed the driver you proposed (the support for my kernel version
appeared), and the headphones works perfectly :)

This has been a problem for me through multiple Ubuntu releases and
laptops IIRC. Once in a while, the screensaver does not manage to lock
the screen before the computer is suspended or hibernated. To be sure,
the screen must be locked manually before suspending. Feels like a race
condition problem
We've requested the cron job be updated to every minute (RT 41629) as
the soyuz workaround has reduced the actual cron update time to under a
second, although the setup/teardown still takes 25s.

More specifically, it looks like it might have been fixed in Wine 1.2
final, which isn't yet in Lucid but is in the proposed repository (as
well as Wine team PPA)
