The change is almost not observable. It's slightly better though not
ready for release IMO. Menus with disabled items look like having big
gaps. Not really appealling. The same holds for Radiance (not that

I am using Firefox 3.6.10 in Ubuntu Maverick 10.10 Beta. I was able to
solve[1] this problem by adjusting the files in /etc/fonts/conf.d/ to
reflect my GNOME font settings (in my case, I use full hinting):

@Hernando: did you upgrade your indicator-appmenu as well. There is a
patch to prevent closed window to still be considered by appmenu, and
without the patch you may still see the issue, even if the unity side is
fixed.

The correct fix I guess is stop using the GObject API for discovering
which signals a GObject subclass has and instead rely on the
introspection API. Then we could mark as introspectable=0 all such

My Thinkpad T60 with an ATI Radeon Mobility X1400 running Ubuntu 10.04
had the same problem: The screen was stuck with vertical lines, and a
double VT switch (Ctrl-Alt-F1, Ctrl-Alt-F7) was needed to get the screen
back.
