I tried this:
$ sudo apt-get purge virtualbox*
$ sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose
and it works, but after
$ sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-guest-dkms
it does not work at all.
After purging virtualbox-ose-guest-dkms it reworks.
There seems to be a problem with the guest-dkms package.

before I start using ext4 I did i bios upgrade (gigabyte ep45 MB) . But I
forgot to reload bios optimized settings after this update was done, which
causes the bios to repoll all your chips to configure the correct settings.

After that, you should be able to uncheck the check box. If not, it
might mean your syncdaemon is not connected, so what does:
