The problem is that Grub doesn't identify SATA drives in the same order as the

The only combination that is slow on my computer is
"many fonts (which basically means TeXlive is installed, but installing many
X11 fonts instead makes it slow, as well)" *and* "starting up the inkscape
gui" at the same time.
Using the inkscape as a filter (without starting up its GUI) is fast
I am having the same problem in 10.04. I did not have it in 9.04.
Reloading the windows manager from the compiz icon always fixes it, but

On a IPv4/IPv6-dual-stack system Postfix fails to start on boot when bind to
IPv6-IPs via /etc/init.d/master.cf (no error message in syslog!).
PowerDNS logs "pdns[1940]: Fatal error: Unable to bind to UDP ipv6 socket".

lsusb gives me the following output:

Further research reveals other bug reports of this nature have been made
and that there has been a problem with this package since Karmic. Any
chance a quick fix can be had this release cycle, please?

I've got this bug too with an up to date maverick with or without the
xorg-edgers ppa.
This happens on an AMD64 system with an nvidia (using nouveau drivers) card
(GTX275). Apport-collect data follows.
