(7.9.2010) trunk versions of clutk and unity. I ran unity as a mutter
plugin and hovered a couple of seconds over different launcher-icons and

foomatic-db-compressed-ppds replaces foomatic-db so the upgrade must be
flawless. In lucid, ubuntu-desktop depends on foomatic-db, and
foomatic-compressed-ppds only exists in maverick, so you can't remove it.
I'm setting to triage and add a foomatic task.

I understand Mark's solution of adding the MAC address (or something) on
as a suffix to the machine name to prevent name collisions, but I think
that it would add yet more clutter to the machine name. As it stands
now, a long username with "-desktop" is already too much text when using

There is another interesting thing in the commit logs though. This is a long
shot, but there was some mic-related stuff added after the initial commit. I've
tried reverting it, and that can be tested here:

I can reproduce it on imx51, but can't reproduce it on other two boards. Both
openjdk and eglibc are the same on these three boards,
openjdk-6-jre-headless: 6b18-1.8-2ubuntu2
eglibc:2.12.1-0ubuntu3
Run 'java -version', and here is the result,
imx51-1 2.6.31-203-gee1fd
The easier way around this problem is to make a soft link to todos and
fromdos. If you have sudo administrative rights, you can make the soft
link in the same directory as follows...
sudo ln -s fromdos dos2unix
sudo ln -s todos unix2dos
Or if do not have sudo privileges, you can make the soft lin

I have a Dell Precision M4400 from about 1 year, lspci displays this
info about my wifi card:

I never experienced this type of errors till yesterday when I've changed the
wifi router.
Now I
open /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
add these line to the end of the file

save file.and restart
