the graphics card with which I had this issue later broke. The issue did not
persist with the new graphics card (ATI Radeon HD5770). It is possible that it
was a hardware error with the graphics card starting to intermittently fail

I have done the following updates to -proposed over a fresh install of
Ubuntu server 10.04.1 (32-bit, hosted on Amazon EC2)

I have recently installed a fresh install of Ubuntu Karmic on a laptop
which is exactly the same as the one I am using (Karmic being used
because of the wireless regression in Lucid rendering it not usable for
my purposes.) The funny thing is that on this new install wireless doe

Thank you for trying. Since Maverick Meerkat is a development version,
sometimes, the images are bad. I would recommend trying to download the
image again and burn it.

FYI: had the same problem, but after reboot I find under synaptic
usbmuxd & libusbmuxd1 are installed.
