Do you have syslog-summary enabled in your logcheck conf? Note that
/usr/bin/syslog-summary has

So this is a syslog-summary bug, not a logcheck bug. In fact it is

I just updated to xf86-input-synaptics in the latest dev version
1.2.99.1 (before: 1.2.2-1ubuntu4) to no avail. No change, it still works
as buggy as described above...

I get the error when I use my Emperex DVDRW 8x but not when I use my Emperex DD

Your issue would be best served by filing a new bug report with this
information. Also, be sure to include the make/model of your CD/DVD
drive units. I would probably file the report against the udev package.

This indeed happens to me in Lucid too, however I noticed that if I
close the messagebox while copying many files, a new one pops up for the
next file until they're all done, however if I leave the messagebox
alone (do not dismiss it but just move the window out of the way), then
no new messages po
