Unfortunately I haven't stumbled upon this bug report before. I have an Asus
eee 901 and it has never been able to connect to the wifi service in the
Amsterdam public library. I tested it with a Samsung NC10 and it worked, so an
Eee specific problem.
I recently updated tot the latest kernel by

Thanks, I have checked and I'm now convinced that the server indeed ran
out of memory. It has no swap (never been necessary).

Problem started: one day between 14 and 16 of August.
The problem:
Some hotkeys have changed their behaviour. When I press Alt+F2 there is two
events take place:
1) Screen starts displaying tty2;
2) Next I press Alt+F7
