Update: I saw no change in behavior with the Berkeley v6.10.56 BUT I failed to
detach/re-attach from BAM :-(
Upon re-installing v6.10.58 from the PPA AND detaching/re-attaching from/to BAM
the error went away again.

The issue sounds like the problem on my notebook Dell D830 with a docking
station. I installed a fresh Ubuntu 10.04 four weeks ago. Before I used Ubuntu
9.04 without any problem.
Now I randomize get freezes on GDM Login. Both keyboards, internal and PC/2,
also the synaptic touchpad and the exter

I can confirm that this does not work anymore?
I tried the fix today on Lucid Lynx x64.
Also, another strange thing is that sometimes (well, most off the time)
the light indicates that touchpad is on, but when i press the button (so
the light turns on), the bubble notifier tells me i enabled it.

I am not sure that the openoffice.org bug & this one are the same issue.
In the Ubuntu OOo build I am not seeing any choices in the data source
tools for Mozilla/Netscape/Thunderbird etc.
I do not think this the same issue as not being able to read the new
address book format which came out with

with no patches applied, whereas lp:debian/sid/qtiplot was committed

I think the mere fact that it is inconsistent with the other software
makes it really be worth a fix. Add to that the fact that pressing
'Delete' to remove an item makes a lot for sense and is a lot more
intuitive.
I've seen many newcomers get frustrated at this small quirk.

Here is a debdiff that solves the problems above and updates the package
from version 0.6 to 0.7, this has with it a lot of bug fixes (as
mentioned in the changelog) as well as this bug fix.
