Ok, I tested the new kernel with my X1600 Pro HDMI (1002:71c2 / 1002:71e2), but
it is still slow. I'm not sure, but I have the feeling, that it's faster than
the older kernel,

I can confirm that after today's updates to kernel 2.6.32-23 and linux-
backports-modules-wireless 2.6.32-23 for the first time my ASUS EeePC
1000H with RaLink RT2860 works with the .32 kernel and mixed mode
WPA/WPA2 - still 54 mbit and no 'n' connection, though, but that was not
possible with all
Regarding the outdated docs: I'll push this as a task for the Docs team.
I think the plan might be to move the documentation into the jockey
package itself (IIRC, it's kept in ubuntu-docs at the moment).

It is really pretty trivial to add aptitude back if you want it - 'apt-
get install aptitude' is not hard for those who can handle aptitude in
the first place. Also, the mention of the server installation shows
that whoever said it hadn't actually checked the maverick server
installation - it's st
ubuntu-minimal expresses the minimum set of packages that counts as a
supported Ubuntu system. If you replace the system log daemon, you no
longer have a supported Ubuntu system - it just varies too much. You're
completely entitled to remove ubuntu-minimal, and that simply shows that
you are now

AFAIK the full screen workarouds are no longer in the compiz code - so
no chance to use CCSM.
You can set whatever you want there - no reaction in compiz.
BTW: Presenter Console works pretty good here.
