I installed the latest version uploaded by soren, and the problem still

Hi, I'd like to add that I'm having the same problem on an asus pundit
(amd with nvidia chipset), and none of my other lucid boxes (6 in all).
I don't know if it is relevant, but I would like to add that my usb
controller on this box is Nvidia as well as the onboard graphics and
therefore graphics

This bug affects me too, on a HP Probook 4710s. I have tried the ideas
you've suggested - something happened, because the brightness
notification appeared once, but since than, it does not work. So it
worked on the first keypress - displayed the notification.

replicate this issue? If you can, please run the following commands and
attach the generated tar.gz file:
