I think the problem is related to the upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04.
As i said i tested this on a fresh installed 10.04 LTS and there is no
such issue. The machine where i encountered the problem was update from
9.10. Can somebody else confirm this?

The reason, only few people noticed this, probably depends on printer
driver. I have few different printers and when I used manufacturer PPD,
I had this issue. After switching to Foomatic / PCL driver, this issue

I tried Alexandre's solution, to no avail, however it gave me the clue I

First, the error tells us that ImageJ is using
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre,

i am still having problems. i've used charlie's ppa but the gallery2 pkg
seems to be marked as a "maverick" package and not lucid. so when i
install it (i'm on lucid), i still get the 2.3 version from the mains. i
also grabbed the deb and when i install it i get an error from apache
that it can't f
This affects my girlfriend's laptop too. It is just basic clean installation of
Ubuntu 10.04.
Sometimes there is no sound and Shutdown/Restart/Hibernate just logs her out.
Another thing already mentioned here is that it is not possible to mount
external usb drives.
