I also have this problem. No issues before on my hardware. Now, ever so

Because I am a less-experienced user, perhaps you could state that more
fully. In the system window I run those commands. Then what? How to I tell
it what to retrieve and where to put it etc, all the stuff specified in the
GUI interface?

accidentally hit hotkey for post...
anyways, i tried:
- changing the gconf values to percentage
- altering percentages
still, I never get a notification or a sound if percentage
is at LOW/CRITICAL/ACTION, and at 0% the notebook just dies, no shutdown no

I think this report needs details of exactly what the hardware RAID controller
is.
I *think* running ubuntu-bug -u 592892 should update this bug with details of
your system, if it doesn't
then please include the output of lspci -v and sudo dmidecodeand dmesg
