For myself the proper_shutdown_behavior_for_ubuntu.patch makes no sense,
because I configured my own shutdown script, to suspend my client. The
suspend was the only way the wake-up my frontend with my remote control

Confirmed on 32bit with hp compaq nx7000. I suspend using "pm-suspend".
Most of the time tough, everything is fine. I don't use gnome.
Putting screen in DPMS (xset dpms force suspend) or executing "slock"
from wmii and coming back also makes the cursor reappear.

My solution was to find every single file related with ninja and delete
them...it worked.

The solution in #10 did not work on my t400s. I added the xorg input
configuration in both /usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d and in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d without effect.
I created a quick bash script using the solution to #5 and have it run
on login via the startup applications. That works pretty well.

This is a tool that is not only handy in testing, there are times when
it is just the best thing for the job and those are times when it may be
real hard to get it due to malfunctions in other package tools.
We have several partitioners, sfdisk is I would say little used. It
