This bug reappeared to me today after a kernel upgrade (after some weeks of
no problems), right after boot grub2 drops me to its shell. Booting manually
and removing the search line from grub.cfg fixed it. Maybe there is a
regression in grub2 ?

Which package did you install as rsh server ? I got the same problem with
"rsh-server" package (Ubuntu install this one by default) on Ubuntu Server 10.04

i think this bug is invalid.
history -c is behaving as intended: it clears the history of the current
session. if you want to have the history completely removed then you
have to make sure the history file is also cleared. to be really sure
you will also have to clear the history of any other runn
@onny: I don't know, havn't seen it in the system updates..
let me try rebooting and removing the work around in grub2.

init: ureadahead-other main process (635) terminated with status 4
There are a number of init messages in /var/log/syslog from my last
reboot, related to ssh respawning too fast. I'll double check the
differences between the default ssh config files and my edited version
to see

On Ubuntu 9.10, bittornado (gui) was repeatedly trying to download the
last portion of a torrent, and kept reporting a hash check fail (once
every minute or two). After half an hour of trying (afaik), it popped

work for them.
I re-installed both libswt-gtk-3.5-java and libswt-gtk-3.5-jni (both v3.5.1)
