I have just upgraded to 10.04 w/Firefox 3.6.3 and first encountered this
issue of Firefox "stealing" focus. This is EXACTLY what it was doing in
9.04 and is supposed to be the way anyone would expect it to act: you
perform an action (click a link) and expect a result (link is shown).
Simple cause a
Ok so fresh hard drive fresh 9.10 install with latencytop running
alongside Bob Marley.
Here's what I see.
This is the original disk that came with the laptop, a 100gb 4400 rpm
drive; it's pretty slow.
I see two causes with higher latency: fsync() on a file, and scheduler:
waiting for cpu
fsync
I have exactly the same problem on 2.6.31-21-generic-pae.
PULSE_NO_SIMD=1 made no difference for me.
Is there any workaround for this?

As the xine backend will be not be maintained any more, when the vlc
backend is ready, it would be nice to see phonon vlc backend packages.
It already works better than the xine backend in some aspects. It has
been reported that the audio quality is also better.[1]

That makes sense. I had trouble with the upgrade version of 10.04;

Same annoying problem. I noticed the conflict between webcam and wifi
starting in Ubuntu 9.04 and all later releases (works in 8.10). It does
seem likely to be a bug in the rt73usb driver. Given that webcam and
wifi were working in 8.10 I wonder if there was a regression in the
driver somewhere
This bug happened to me with the released Lucid version.
Although I don't think the problem is in simple-scan itself, as NO graphics
application is able to access my scanner (Epson Perfection 4990) anymore:
SimpleScan: crashes.
gscan2pdf: searches for devices forever.

If a mail is incorrectly marked as junk, sometimes clicking "this is not junk"
is ineffective. The message gets moved back to the inbox, but as soon as I try
to open inbox the message is moved back to junk folder. This happens for

The blank screen is caused by the nouveau BIOS code not understanding
the 0x3A opcode.
Support for this opcode has been added in
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/nouveau/linux-2.6/commit/?id=877c1854cbc3f72c5e9948e5ff5a8f7e9d874d2e
. This patch has not made it into 2.6.34, but it is in 2.6.34-git16.

Groundcontrol doesn't work after a install. Creating the settings.yaml file and
restarting nautilus fixes the problem.
