This feature is implemented in the infrastructure bit of c-n-f. What is
not missing is a new fronted/UI client that will be able to use this
data. I'll push existing code into lp:command-not-found trunk later

I'm experiencing the same problem under gnome, with gnome terminal for
example on 10.4. The main keyboard here is an azerty/be one. I
personnally use a qwerty/us one. In my session, to do a control-a I need
to actually press control-q. The normal layout is changed but not the
one with the modifier

I can confirm that the bug also occurs for me. Toggling off the wireless
using Fn+F2 on my eeePC 701SD causes Ubuntu Lucid (standard desktop
edition) to hang and I need to hard reset the machine to use it again.
Toggling on the wireless is not a problem as far as I can tell.

prepare figures for inclusion in latex files.
If I recall properly, I used it at least on the last two ubuntu versions
(jaunty and karmic), but I just launched it again on lucid and it was broken,
