Same here with Dell D430 after upgrade from 9.10 to 10.4. Random X
crashes, less frequently since I switched of 3D desktop effects. Still
about once a day.

This is the correct place to file bugs against emesene. It's perfectly
fine to file spelling mistakes in launchpad. It's better to report a bug
(however minor) and have it fixed than to give the wrong impression
about the level of quality in ubuntu.

I have the same issue as well, except I have an ASUS laptop running
64bit Ubuntu with an ext4 partition. Would be glorious to see this

The kernel from comment #88 looks flicker free to me now for over 5 hours. I

Well, those comments you referred too don't appear to be from people in
charge.
Changing the importance of the bug isn't going to affect how quickly it
is fixed. We know the bug is there, and we know it is annoying for
users. We just don't know what is causing it yet though.
