Just installed the latest update (may 7 1000 hours CET) and realised
that when moving the mouse (pad on netbook) the update process went

Look like only pictures can't be saved.
The only way to save a pictures are use "copy picture" and after paste
somewhere on HDD. So it's my workaround for the time.

I'm using Debian's 1.5.1, but using gconf-editor to set
/apps/gnome_settings_daemon/plugins/pointing-device/priority to 8 and
/apps/gnome_settings_daemon/plugins/mouse to 9 has allowed gpointing-
device-settings to have precedence over gnome's default mouse settings
app. Settings are now persistent

This may have been due to some problem with the cd/dvd-rom reader. I was
unable to get the computer to work after closing the above dialog. The
command line was reporting low level IO errors on /dev/sr0. I tried the
install again from a usb drive and everything went fine.

With 2.6.34rc3-51 my system no longer deadlocks when playing video
(855GM, forced KMS makes the system boot with standard Lucid kernel, as
described in bug #511001). I'll leave the computer on for a few days to
see if the hangs I describe in bug #511001 are also gone.
