Ioannis, I had the same issue (Ubuntu 10.04 i386 here). What I did is
shut down Empathy, then look for telepathy processes. This shows what I
saw:

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, this is still an issue with Lucid
Lynx x86 and x86_64. IIRC, 2.6.32 staging driver is far more stable. I
tried compiling my own kernel and confirmed it. Please note, the
firmware for this device is still not included in Lucid.

Any idea what package is responsible for eject support? When I press the

First : you have to uninstall libmtp8 from Synpatic. It will also
uninstall gnomad2 and Rhythmbox-plugins. You have to note packages that
are also uninstalled.
Then you install the libmtp8 package from Karmic. You can find it there

When logging in, each time the background on the right screen in my
dualhead setup doesn't seem to repaint properly. Whenever I drag a

Did your script fail here? The bug has been report against a very recent
version of Lucid and I have run apport-collect as you can see from
I'm still seing this too with the lucid-proposed repository enabled.
Also, trying to manouver the ftp server in the ~/.gvfs directory
produces lots of timeouts (but it does catch up on repeated tries).

Upon trying to install the latest Ubuntu (10.04) I find that my jmicron
controller doesn't work again.
When installing the installer crashes because the name in the jmicron

Ok this turns out to be an issue triggered by CONFIG_UNUSED_SYMBOLS not
being set in the configuration for ti-omap. Turns out this is required
for properly formed ABI files. There is no obvious reason however we
cannot cope with the form when this is not set. So will:
1) fix the abi-check parse
I have exactly the same situation as jhaig and thunderbird segfaults.
My home directory is also NFS mounted.
