Update: Completely disabling framebuffer on the kernel command line
(nofb nomodeset nosplash) solves this problem for me too.
On a side note, booting with nofb nomodeset also allows me to use the
radeon driver instead of radeonhd.

Hi Pedro,
I realized I filed the bug incorrectly when noticing all of my
proprietary drivers where missing. Can you move the bug to the
appropriate category or do I need to file a new bug? If so, would you

Thank you for responding. I have tried do print a PDf document, a RTF
file and an Open Office document, to no avail.
I have made changes in the printer window. Authentication is no longer
required for PDF and Open Office files.
