I've double checked current lucid kernel linux-
image-2.6.32-21-generic_2.6.32-21.32 and it seems that it is not fixed!
There is no ata_generic.ko there. So ALI owners will still suffer from
disabled DMA! Please alter the package to reflect the changes summarized
by Conn in post #80.

common and xserver-xorg-core from pitti's sru-test ppa.
My vmware setup might be slightly different than others in that I
upgraded today from fully up to date Karmic 64bit to Lucid 64bit using
update-manager -d. After rebooting

I created a new user accout, so as to test whether it was system-wide or
user settings-related. It worked fine (for this test and the further
ones, I tried 3 logins).
I removed ~/.config/xfce from my user files (I'm talking about the usual user,

I've enabled apport permanently to generate crash reports.
I've just recovered a crash report saved by apport into /var/crash. The
file is attached.
This crash report was detected directly after an X-freeze, shortly after
the next restart. The X-freeze on this occasion happened while trying

RC. I'm upgrading now . There are no network-manager updates coming,
but a kernel update.

confirmed with latest version of synaptic in lucid.
Setting to wishlist because currently it's a design decision to only apply to
one package since you must choose the version to force for each package, it's
not easily doable for a list of packages.
