The tweak to change the mixer to use solely alsa PCM fixes the issue I
describe, however it adds another. When I manually change the volume it
stutters badly. Sometimes it will randomly garble for a split second.
The other tweak to add dB=1 has no effect.

The same has just happened to me on a desktop at work, when I resumed it from
hibernation.

Hi,
I have installed Ubuntu Lucid beta1 on my old computer which has ATI Radeon
9200SE (it is based on rv280 chip-set) graphics card.
In Karmic every thing worked well but with Lucid many graphics, icons, letters
don't shown well.

Ok, don't worry. Now that I think about it I'm not sure it makes so much
sense to create a debug log file as we did. Enabling GST_DEBUG can
really slow down the whole execution, writing all that stuff to a file
would be even worse. I think I'll completely get rid of that log file.

The brightness keys on my Dell 1555 also don't work at their best - I
mean, they do change the brightness indeed but notify-osd doesn't show
the 'progress' bar.

When performing the system test, it is suppose to switch from X to a
text terminal. It switches, but it only shows a funky looking blue
screen. It's definitely not suppose to look like that.

Launching empathy fixes it. I don't get prompted for a password like the
other bug and after I close empathy, the indicator-me applet works
correctly and I can set my status on/offline from there without
launching empathy again. This looks like empathy isn't running at start-
up?

I can't tell if this is the same as the other bugs so please mark as
duplicate if necessary. After upgrading from 9.10Stable to 10.04beta1,
the system reboots and comes to a complete halt with an error from
mountall about an entry in the fstab. T
