Hi,
just tested my MF636 on EeePC 1000H with LL daily-live of 18-Mar-2010, which
connected but needs a reboot after removing/attaching modem to connect again.
No more looping creation/disconnection on ttyUSBx, and no terminal freeze.
kernel: 2.6.32-16-generic #25-Ubuntu
modemmanager: 0.3-0ubuntu
As of todays updates (march 18th - kernel and xorg at least I think)

I have same issue (my groupmates are getting their nerves ripped) with
9.10 and 10.04 alpha 3.
I open file trough ssh (Connect to server...) with permissions like
owner.team 775 (server is ubuntu 8.04) and i open file for edit to

I still have this problem. The workaround mentioned above does not
always work reliably; sometimes. However, restarting dbus when gdm is
stopped always works; although it also prints an asyncronous error-
message:
