I started the machine this morning and received a notification that my
wireless was connected.
I download some e-mail and no notification appeared.
I ran "notify-send sometext" in terminal again and no notification
appeared so I looked at my osd log file and this is what I found.

So I chose to reload and then ran "notify-send sometext" in terminal
again and this is what happened in the osd log file.
No notification appeared.

I recently installed ubuntu 9.10 server headless.
If I'm not mistaken /dev/xconsole only makes sense if you intend to have a
running xserver.
So my propsition is to comment the snippet concerning xconsole
(/etc/rsyslog.d/50-default.conf).
