Same problem on ASUS UL30A. Touchpad recognized as "ImPS/2 Logitech

Tried with another SATA hard disk (Western Didital) -> same problem.
Removed the IDE cd-rom driver and used an USB external CD-ROM driver, it
works! The problem was not coming from the hard disk but from the IDE
CD-ROM driver.

I can confirm this bug. I Just installed Karmic with the 'use entire disk'
option, on a 250GB hdd and got the error:
...no such device. I did'nt try any of the fixes above. I reinstalled with
smaller /, /home, data partition, /swap. Other installs of Ubuntu on the same
250GB hdd went fine.

package, so I wonder why this hasn't been installed from updates.

It appears that these problems are indeed not caused by a bug in gnome-
power-manager. In my case, the lock only persists when using the
Indicator-Applet-Session or Gnome-Do to initiate the suspend. Suspending
with the Shut Down-applet or the dedicated sleep key on my notebook
follows the gconf set
There are still two emblem (System and Default) not translatable due to
gnome-icon-them not patched upstream (and so po are not updated).
BTW, In Lucid there is also a Videos emblem not translated.

On the same subnet at my home, i have one Laptop on which UbuntuOne work

This is a problem with the Ubuntu Image, not with the Virtual Box
package that is being distributed.
I had similar symptoms, so I went to Windows XP and installed the last
version of VirtualBox Free Edition (not Open Source). I tried to boot
the Lucid ISO (and yes the checksum was ok). The initial

Symptoms are caused by gpu hang (your graphics card is running in a forever
loop). Same time driver is waiting for signal from the card that operations
have done. So result is that the driver gets blocked which blocks most of
others parts of kernel too.
