I had the same issue, right after the ubuntu 9.10 64-bit server install.
My system has also 2 disks. In my case, I noticed that the disks were
connected to sata ports 3 and 4 respectively on my motherboard. By
swapping the sata connectors to ports 1 and 2, the problem was magically
fixed :).

I installed pulseaudio-module-zeroconf, pulseaudio-module-raop and
padevchooser on a new machine today. Immediately after installing,

I'm getting this with in the UK with my ks3565 (identified as huawei
e220 from memory).
In jaunty it was and still is working without issue.

I upgraded to Lucid Lynx to see if it helped as it has for others here.
It did not, it made things worse. I tried switching over to wicd (it
helped on 9.10), but even that is hopeless now. I have 10 seconds of
connectivity before I loose the connection for a minute or two.

Software playthough ('feedthrough'?!) definitely shouldn't cause
Audacity to crash the moment the mic monitor or Record is selected, and
I'm pretty sure it shouldn't cause random loud noise the first time it's
run either! This shouldn't be listed as invalid, just slightly better

from the __future__) but karmic should already have python 2.6 as its
