I use Kubuntu 9.10 on an Asus F6Ve (Intel WiFi Link 1000bgn and module
iwlagn) and had the same problem with knetworkmanager. I replaced it
with nm-applet but, while better with network-manager-vpnc than
knet

Issue seems to be solved. I added karmic-proposed to software sources
and updated the system. Don't know which of the updated packets solved
it ... maybe the kernel update to 2.6.31-18-generic.
I can now choose the USB sound card in alsamixer and with

I am running 9.10 and the driver is still out of date. I manually
updated the driver - but it still didn't fix the problem.
It is a problem with Modem Manager (or associated) choosing ttyUSB2 to
connect through instead of ttyUSB0. Can see this happening via the logs.

As mentioned in the GNOME bug report, this crash occurs when "Ignore all
manual page breaks" is set and no manual page breaks appear in the
document. I've found I can workaround the bug by unchecking "Ignore all
manual page breaks" on the "Gnumeric Print Range" tab in the Print
dialog.

This still happens but I think only when I have Virtualbox open (not
necessarily on the same workspace). I hope this helps in tracking the

Karmic, when booting with AC connected followed by disconnecting AC,
there is no "On Battery" tab in Power Manager.
This is very annoying, because by default Karmic dims the laptop screen
to a level I can only describe as barely-readable after a few seconds,
and there is no way of adjusting this b

Looks like there may be alternative solutions now, but in case anyone
cares about an update on how to download them via flvstreamer (they
changed some stuff after my previous post and I don't seem to be being
