nvidia-185, compiz 0.8.4. Crash seems more likely to occur if screen is
locked for more than a few minutes. An obvious indicator is that compiz-
dependent applications (e.g. Gnome-do) will have crashed as a result.

Hello people, it seems to me that this bug and bug 499773 are related.
In other word: when ureadahead does its retrace thing on boot, I see
BOTH symptoms:
- the memory usage is very high
- the /var/lib/ureadahead/debugfs entry not removed from /etc/mtab

early days, variables named with "up" and "down" in the peer code were
the source of bugs from similar confusion, and those variables are now
named clientToPeer and pee

I've found a way to reproduce this bug, it is caused by suspending. If I
try to suspend the system, it will fail and pacmd will go off at 100%
CPU. After killing pulseaudio, pacmd is no longer re-spawned.
This issue seems to be connected to suspending in the newest Lucid.

In 1.7x, -1 is the default value until the tracker responds and provides
the real values. Ideally this should be displayed as "Unknown" or some
other human-readable string. From your description, it sounds like
what's happening here is the tracker is not filling in these values for
some reason.

Hi
With installation it is not automatically detected.
The workaround is:
wired internet connection
terminal
sudo apt-get update
then the proprietary drivers are detected and installed.
