I have a similar problem when blanking dvd-rw on my thinkpad r500. Have
you tried changing the sata setting in the bios to compatibility mode? I

I have had all possible kernels available thru update, also propposed
ones. The latest being 2.6.31-18-generic. I have E220 and none of them
works unless I start without dongle connected to USB and write few lines
to kill few daemons before plugging it to USB. All versions of kernel

The real problem: it would appear that however the downloads are being

Ky, I am also using this config on two PC's multi booting with 9.04
with no problems. I didn't try using this in 9.10 because I wanted it
fixed for lucid.

* Steps to reproduce the bug:
1. Set any folder in the preferences->torrents dialog. In my case, the
"Donwload" folder under $HOME that AFAIK, was introduced since karmic.
2. Open a .torrent file from nautilus.
