I was able to reproduce the problem on my machine by mounting the share,
putting it in hibernation mode, restoring the machine then attempting to
access the share. The underlying mechanism should have some methods
available for unmounting/remounting then reattempting access without
forcing the use

This one may be a needle in the haystack, but 1 of three hosts built
with Karmic (one ubuntu straight, two mythbuntu) is giving me fits of
bad packet length.
The one driving me crazy is attached (Via 1GHz i386 with Mythbuntu

I just tested this and everything looks fine. I was able to print test
page.
1) I plug printer (SCX-4200) into USB and Karmic 9.10 did find printer for me.
No setting at all.
2) I went to CUPS web interface (localhost:631) and test print page.

Thank you for your reply.
I installed the 180 driver from the Synaptic Package Manager. I could
not find any higher setting than 800x600 in the "Administration"
I subsequently uninstalled ("purged") the nvidia drivers and installed
the driver from Nvidia.com (the ".run" package)
