Canceling does nothing it just keeps coming back.
I can't get online as this happens. Browser not usable.
How can i disable it ?

I can go from 10% to ~100% memory usage (out of 4GB) in 10 seconds if I
try hard. It takes a few hours under normal usage.

I get a transfer rate of about 8-10 MBPS. On 9.04, I used to get 25-30
MBPS. I have the following configuration:
Karmic Kaola 64 bit. USB hardware is 2.0 on both the motherboard as well

I lost the sound completely since 2 days after upgrading to 2.6.31-16, and
loading ubuntu-desktop and realplayer.
I uninstalled them, tried to use 2.6.31-15 instead, but sound seems to be

Selecting the LAMP Server task in tasksel installs Linux (Ubuntu),
Apache2, MySQL and PHP5. By design.
Leaving the root MySQL password blank does not somehow uninstall MySQL.
It just installs it in a less secure way.
