I can't reproduce this in 8.04 LTS. The scripts in rcS start before rc2,
so the script ordering is correct. The only time this condition will

I have tried the kernel release v2.6.32-020632-generic from the Ubuntu Kernel
PPA and it does seem to help a lot without compiling yourself see link
