Same problem (blank space in the place of network manager icon in
notification aera) here at almost every boot and login with Ubuntu
amd64.
Removing then adding back notification aera or killing then reload nm-
appplet works until next reboot or relogin.
No link to nm-applet in ~/.config/autostar
Now it's still happening when I boot 2.6.31-14. So it's probably caused
by another package that was also get apt-upgraded.

Sadly gdb doesn't seem to find the source file, which does not allow us
to get details about the crash. From what I see in the code, we could
crash if libhal returns an array without telling us its real size. We
could check that the code in libhal is not buggy in that regard, but
anyway HAL is now
+1 in Karmic. Evince is very slow when opening pdf files and crashes
many times on resizing. It does not even need to be to 400%, any size.
I have attached a pdf file that always causes the problems for me.

Here's a patch that you can apply against the liboobs package if you
want to check that it works. It seems to work here, but I never get the
crash, even if the error was set.

I've been investigating...
My internal device is a F3507g, but it seem a special version for
Toshiba, or may, an updated firmware.
Doing several tests, it seems the error is the same that in bug 450256.
The command AT+CFUN=1 doesn't work. In a trial/error basis, it needs 2
parameters (AT+CFUN=1,

I have this problem exactly as described in comment #12. It's been
happening with 3.0/Ubuntu 9.04, and now with 3.5/Ubuntu 9.10, both on
386 and 64-bit architectures. Both system I've tested with have Intel
video adapters (different models).
