How do you suggest to implement this in g-s-d? Currently, it handles the
keypresses, changes the volume and displays the notification. If you
want it to display the notification when it notices the volume has been
changed, then it would also display when adjusting the slider in the

partition with the system installed on it was full due to a backup I

The bug as reported is fixed, as far as I can see in karmic but it is still not
possible to connect to a openvpn using x509 certificates as there is no space
anywhere on the config to enter the passphrase and you are not prompted to
enter one at anytime!
No passphrase = rejected connection

Try to enable DRI and disable AIGLX.
You can disable AIGLX and the compositing extension by amending your
/etc/X11/xorg.conf like this:

I can confirm this too on Kubuntu karmic - no place to enter the passphrase for
a x509certificate based connection and no prompt for one.
I can also confirm that the connection failure is due to 'no vpn secrets'
according to syslog
This connection works fine from the command line (using a .ovpn

Its a new day and everything is looking good (so far, crosses fingers).
Huge thanks to WeatherGod for his time spent helping me sort out the
problem.
Turns out that automatically assigning nameservers was not working
properly (found this out by being able to browse google's cache (IPs)
but not bei

It seems that according to developers of melt/Kdenlive that there are
incompatibilities between SDL 1.12.13 in Ubuntu 9.10 and X server
drivers. Updating to version 1.2.14 has confirmed that this problem is
fixed.
