there were a lot of changes in the dvb system in 2.6.32, so I compiled a

I'm running Karmic (Ubuntu 9.10) with Gnome / Compiz + Emerald. I use
Evolution many times during my normal activity, and this behavior is
causing me problems at work...

This is my first try at using bzr.
I created an own branch from the lucid brach, changed what I could while

I installed from scratch on my Thinkpad T60 and I have no sound either.
Everything seems in order in the Sound preferences but I can't get the
computer to make so much as a peep. I also get no errors when I try to
play music or sounds.

I can also confirm this. I tried to report this to developers when the
RC image was released. But I guess it did not get fixed before the
karmic release date. Hopefully this can be fixed through updates and can
make it to Lucid. It gives a bad impression, when new users boot from

You look at what version is installed with:
$ dpkg -l libcouchdb-glib-1.0-1
and
$ dpkg -l evolution-couchdb
Reinstalling 9.10 won't fix the problem, since you need to use the
latest packages for those 2, so please, if the version numbers are lower
than the ones in https://edge.launchpad.net/~u
After reboot, mkfs completed w/o errors.

Swap File size 8.8gb
Ram size 7.7 gb
created the swapfile using dd with blocks 1024 in size (I'm not sure
about the number?)
Any other info I can provide, let me know. I would really appreciate
