I just came across this bug, wrt ufw. Traditionally, it has been
expected that lo would be up before network daemons had started (eg,
runlevel 2). It has become common practice to use an ifupdown script to
bring up a firewall when lo is brought up. Ufw uses this practice and
has the following in it
I should also mention that it is also desirable that ufw start before
any physical devices are brought up (eg when an admin wants to block
dhcp packets from all but a specific server).

I think that given the fact that Ubuntu is free, its pretty good for an
operating system, even though sometimes it does come with hick ups. But I am
sure thats something, Ubuntu developers will strive to get ironed out in the
future. But like I said, its pretty good for being free.

Yes it has worked in gutsy, hardy, intrepid and jaunty.
In fact there is no trouble mounting the drive manually. I can do that as
normal user since /etc/fstab contains 'user' option. It is just auto mounting
that does not work.

removed all other snd-hda-intel lines. This worked. 3stack apparently
does NOT work on all e520's STAC92xx.

I was able to fix the problem in Firefox 3.0.15 in the following way: I
remembered I had uninstalled Firefox 2.0, so I reinstalled it. Clicking
the gui icon for Firefox 2.0 ran that, and I was able to access the add-
on page in 2.0. I uninstalled "Foxdie Blue" and "Foxdie Themes"
I take my previous comment back. This occurs with a clean install on a
Shuttle SK22V10 with 9.10.

After applying upgrades on Wednesday (11.11) my system doesn't start up.

After switching the VTs i can see what is displayed on one of them, but what is

Installing a fresh Karmic I am unable to get my Graphire Bluetooth
tablet working. I installed wacom-tools and turned the tablet on.
Reboots do not help.

If you press HOME, END, DELETE or BACKSACE key in ghci prompt garbage
characters are inputed, which is definitely not a desirable behaviour.
You only need to add libedit-dev to build-deps to make ghci interpret
these keys correctly.

sorry, this is invalide bug
the root caust is that The HUP mode $HUPIsRestart is automatically set
to "off" in restricted privilege mode. The reason simply is that a
restart-type HUP is no longer possible once privileges have been
dropped.

option in the drive's context-menu. There is an eject icon present in
the side pane, but it does not eject the disc. Currently have to use

working fine now - 2 hours later it allowed me to add computer then
connecting fine. I don't think I initially clicked 'subscribe & add
computer' straight away so maybe it just timed out. Thanks anyway!
