This also affects me. Slight difference though. I added a drawer to a
panel. Then, as you can't drag items from a menu direct to a drawer
(you should be able to!) I copied icons to the desktop. Then I dragged
them from the desktop to the drawer. After rebooting, they were all

While I'm fairly certain that the uploaded fix is correct, surprisingly,
I've been unable to reproduce the original problem despite forcibly
disabling my network interface. Can someone who is seeing this problem
in Ubuntu 9.10 please send the following:
- a copy of /var/log/samba/log.nmbd showing

is completely unusable for me and I'm sure many others. Uploads never go
higher than 12KB/s on a link that can do 2000 KB/s uploads to google

I think it is a feature to save power, the problem become apparent when
you are using headset which results having sharp sounds on every switch

In my case, there is no network manager issue. It is the avahi multicast
issue. Even without the script, the card wlan0 indicates MULTICAST is
on, but the MSI cannot ping to other avahi hosts, and vice versa.
