I had this bug. It caused my ext3 filesystem that it was attempting to
shrink, instaling karmic alongside jaunty with dual-boot, to crash. The
fsck -y /dev/sda5 took over 18 hours to complete to remove all the
errors.
For this reason I think the bug should have a higher importance than
medium!

As /usr/lib/libGL.so is just a symlink, I noted down the destination and
then removed /usr/lib/libGL.so. After this the aptitude upgrade for the
package succeeds. Turns out the new link is identical to the old one,
so it was only a case of the script being confused somehow.

In Karmic my problem went (almost) away. My dvd-rom works flawlessly
(but I have to do more tests). System boots with every hard disk
configuration. The only remaining problem: while booting there is a lot
of text about "searching" for sda1, sda2 etc.under the white Ubuntu logo
for a few seconds. B
According to the developers of f-spot this is now fixed in their trunk
(see the bugzilla link in the previous post, fix
fa17db9e35a143bcae9d7b78b711873cfb8d589d). It would be very nice (and
safe) to get this for us karmic users somehow.

I can confirm this bug on Kubuntu 9.10 beta (i386) when installing
daemontools-run 1:0.76-3 from the main repos. Got the following error
message in apt-get :

Hi,
I had this error on Acer Aspire one using Wubi inside windows. I have
comodo internet security. I shut down Comodo and the installation went
fine!! :) Hope this helps.

I am also seeing this on an up to date karmic install. It happened about
30 minutes after awaking from hibernate. I did not see any related
messages in any log file.

I've got a very similar problem, same error reported on boot "...one or
more of the mounts listed in /etc/fstab cannot yet be mounted..." with
the effected drives being my two LVM's which are NOT encrypted.
It all boots up and works ok just get the 'fstab' text (as per post #6)
