I just tested with the Kubuntu Karmic Koala beta version on a Thinkpad
T400, and emulated scrollwheel still doesn't work. And as far as I can
tell, there is no way to enable it through system settings.
Installing the Hal policy I've previously attached, fixed the problem

Okay, this has shown up twice in Karmic unfortunately. Attached is the
upstream patch to fix this, I will see if I can get this into Karmic
somehow.
If you are affected by it now, edit the file
/usr/share/pyshared/wxbanker/wxbanker.py and insert the line:

The problem disappered with the latest Evolution version in Jaunty. The
duplicate folder disappeared. There still is another problem as now the default
"Persönlichl" Adress book is no longer duplicate and can be renamed. But after
a restart of evolution the name flips back to the default name "

Hi Ralph,
Sorry, i must have skip over your email somehow.I cant really tell you
anything more. The problem seems to have gone away with the updates to
the system. So, i guess you can close the bug rapport, fixed by other means.

The same things can be done about drbd8-utils ( /etc/rc2.d/S70drbd )
before ocfs2 stuffs
However the update-rc.d script about ocfs2 and o2cb raise some warning
about non LSB conformant issues.
